Two-Year Warranty – Shengmilo UK Online Store

Coverage

Our two-year warranty applies to electric bikes purchased directly from Shengmilo UK Online Store, ensuring protection against manufacturing defects. This warranty is non-transferable and is only valid for the original owner and product. Please note that complimentary accessories are not covered under this warranty.

Warranty Registration

The warranty is automatically activated when the original purchaser receives their product from our online store. This warranty applies exclusively to the original owner and their purchased product.

Duration and Limitations

  • The warranty begins from the purchase date.

  • It does not cover electric bicycles purchased from unauthorised sellers.

  • To make a warranty claim, you must provide a valid receipt, including your name, address, and order details.

Important Notes

  • Electric bicycles cannot be sold to individuals under 18 years old. Minors must be supervised by a parent or guardian while riding.

  • Stolen bicycles are not covered. We recommend using a high-quality lock to secure your bike.

Covered Products

Defective Parts

Shengmilo will repair or replace original equipment and non-consumable parts deemed defective at our discretion within two (2) years from the purchase date.

1.1 Battery Warranty

  • Shengmilo batteries come with a one-year warranty.

  • Defective batteries will be repaired or replaced within the first year at no cost.

  • Only Shengmilo can assess battery defects.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

Wear and Tear

Consumable parts requiring regular maintenance, including but not limited to:

  • Tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, cables, grips, chains, spokes, lights, displays, pedals, cranks, motors, and saddles.

Accidents and Misuse

  • Damage from accidents, improper use (such as stunt riding or racing), or improper storage.

  • Exposure to liquids, chemicals, moisture, dirt, or excessive stress.

Cosmetic Damage

  • Scratches, dents, and other aesthetic imperfections unless caused directly by Shengmilo.

Altered Identification

  • Products with defaced, removed, or altered serial numbers or barcodes.

Non-Approved Accessories

  • Damage caused by accessories not approved by Shengmilo.

External Factors

  • Damage due to collisions, fires, floods, storms, theft, or electrical issues.

Battery Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from using an unsuitable charger.

  • Improper use of the battery charger.

  • Signs of tampering or damage to the battery.

Frame Warranty

Shengmilo electric bicycle frames come with a two-year replacement warranty.

This warranty covers frame replacement only and excludes labour costs associated with transferring components. Shengmilo reserves the right to use replacement frames with minor scratches or dents. If a frame is out of stock, we will substitute it with a compatible alternative.

Exclusions for Frame Issues

  • Corrosion.

  • Fading, scratches, or impact marks on paint.

  • Damage caused by impacts.

  • Irreversible modifications (such as drilling or welding).

Component Warranty

Covered for one year: Motor, Controller, Battery, Charger, Throttle, Pedal Assist Sensor, and Display Panel.

Exclusions

  • Damage due to accidents, misuse, or abnormal use (such as stunt riding or racing).

  • Cosmetic damage not caused by Shengmilo.

  • Damage caused by non-approved accessories or improper assembly.

  • External factors like collisions, fires, and improper power usage.

Warranty Claims

To file a warranty claim, contact support@shengmilo-uk.com with proof of purchase and photos/videos of the issue. We may provide troubleshooting steps before processing a claim.

  • Defective displays, batteries, motors, and controllers are eligible for replacement within the warranty period.

  • Customers are responsible for shipping fees associated with warranty claims.

Important Note: Shengmilo provides free replacement parts within the warranty scope (excluding shipping costs). Any unauthorised installation costs will not be covered.

Shipping Damage

If accessories are scratched or lost during transit, no replacement or compensation will be offered.

For significant damage affecting functionality, please contact support@shengmilo-uk.com with photos/videos within seven (7) days of delivery.

The following are NOT covered:

  • Minor outer packaging damage.

  • Light scratches or paint chips.

  • Bent but functional parts due to shipping.

  • Normal wear and tear of components.
